There are many ways to help the EFEF to improve the education
infrastructure in Ehume and vicinity. Here are a few:
 |
Donate money.
 | Details for donating money are on the "Make a
Donation" page. |
 | The money is primarily needed to buy materials, equipment,
and contractor assistance, as needed. Much of the labor will be
provided by local volunteers in the early work. |
 | EFEF is a non-profit organization and is in the process of
obtaining 501(c)3 tax-exempt status from the IRS. When the
process is completed, the date of tax-exemption will be
retroactive to the date of incorporation, so your donation should
be tax-exempt. |
|
 | Ask your company to dollar-match your gift. |
 | Tell your civic group, church, or social club about us and
request a donation.
 | We will be happy to speak to your organization about our work
for an honorarium, which would be donated 100 percent to the EFEF
work. If the location of the meeting is more than a one-hour
drive from Greensboro, North Carolina, we would expect expense
reimbursement directly to the volunteer making the presentation.
|
|
 | Inform us about sources for donations of textbooks and
teaching aids.
 | We will accept used textbooks and teaching aids if they are in
good condition. We will also accept out-of-print materials that a
school, publishing company, or book seller might otherwise
dispose in the recycle bin if the content is adequate to teach
basic math, science, and English to primary school children. |
 | We will also accept textbooks and teaching aids for grades
beyond primary school which we will transfer to the appropriate
grade school in Ehume and vicinity. |
|
 | Tell us if you would like to go to Ehume as a volunteer and
assist with construction or teaching. |
